How do I rent Chargebat power bank?

Renting a ChargeBat power bank is simple and user-friendly. Just follow these steps:

Download the app: Install ChargeBat app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and create an account using your mobile phone number.

Find a station: Use the in-app map to locate a nearby ChargeBat charging station. The app will show all available stations around you. You can also search the Station Map on the ChargeBat website for locations.

Start the rental: When you arrive scan QR code on the station and follow the prompts. The station will automatically release a power bank for you.

Grab your power bank: A power bank will pop out of the station – take it and you’re ready to charge! This whole process only takes a few seconds. The power bank comes with built-in cables for all common phones, so you can plug in your device right away.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?

For non-members, it’s £2 per hour, capped at £7 per day. If you don’t return the power bank within 4 days, it’s yours to keep – just charge it at home like any other power bank.

Changed your mind? Return it to any ChargeBat station and we’ll credit £13 to your account.

Want better value? Join the ChargeBat Club for just £25/year and pay only £2 per session – no daily caps, no time limits. You can keep power bank as long as you need.

All payments are cashless via the app. Just link your card or mobile wallet and you’re good to go!

 

How do I return the power bank?

Returning your Chargebat power bank is super easy — just drop it off at any Chargebat station.

Find a station

Open the app and check the map for the nearest return point. You can return it in any city across our network.

Insert the power bank

Slide the power bank into an empty slot (cables facing in). Push gently until it clicks into place.

Confirm the return

The station will recognise it, and you’ll hear confirmation from the station and get a confirmation in the app. Once confirmed, your rental ends and payment is calculated automatically.

Important: Always return the power bank yourself using the app. Don’t give it to someone else to return — it must be registered on your account.

What if all the slots are full? How do I return the power bank?
If all slots are occupied, open the map in the app to find the nearest available ChargeBat station. Please note: the person who starts the charging session must also return the device - do not leave the power bank to someone else.
What if I lose the power bank or it gets stolen?
If you can’t return the power bank because it’s lost or stolen, ChargeBat will charge a £17 replacement fee to your linked card. Just select the relevant option in the app, and it will be treated as if you’ve purchased the device. If the power bank is later found and returned to any ChargeBat station within a month, we’ll credit £13 back to your account.
